Operation Christmas Child
In the Fall, we support Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child. Generally starting with the distribution of empty boxes in mid-October and culminating in the collection of filled boxes at the beginning of November, our congregation collects and donates to support Samaritan's Purse international relief efforts. From their website:
"Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Our mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoe boxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S. "

Did You Know?
From 1993-2015, the Samaritan’s Purse project, Operation Christmas Child, collected and delivered more than 135 million gift-filled shoe boxes to children in more than 150 countries and territories.
Our congregation graciously donated 48 filled boxes in November 2017 to Operation Christmas Child after blessing and praying over them during a morning worship!
