NC Baptist Men

Each year, typically in September, we collect a special offering to support the work of the North Carolina Baptist Men (NCBM).  Some years, such as in 2017 in response to back-to-back hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria , we designate our funds for Disaster Relief.  Other years, we donate our funds to their general fund.  From their website:

"At NCBM/Baptists On Mission (NCBM) our vision is "Every Christian sharing God's love with hurting people through word and deed". There are 18 different ministries of NCBM. We believe that all Christians are called, gifted and sent. Our desire is to help churches involve their members (women, men and students) in missions and ministry in Jesus' name. 
We seek to:

1. Initiate and Network to discover mission needs
2. Educate and Disciple people concerning their own spiritual growth, gifts and abilities.
3. Motivate and Lead people in meeting those mission needs.

NCBM is an auxiliary to the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina."

The largest Type 1 (D) mass feeding unit operated by NCBM can supply up to 20,000 meals per day utilizing 50 volunteers.

Our congregation graciously donated nearly $3,200 in September 2017 to NCBM Disaster Relief!
